Deviro develops mid-strike drone Palytsia – cheaper alternative to Bulava

Ukrainian defence tech company Deviro has unveiled a new drone, Palytsia. This is a fixed-wing strike UAV that is guaranteed to fly 90 km and carries up to 3 kg of warhead. The manufacturer shared details about the new drone with Defender Media.

A Deviro representative describes Palytsia as a low-cost version of Bulava – another strike drone from the company that can fly 120+ km. The price of the new drone has not yet been disclosed, but it is cheaper due to its components, in particular a smaller battery.

For communication, the drone has a mesh network or Starlink. It is also used with a pneumatic catapult, ground station and software that are also suitable for the company’s other UAVs. Palytsia therefore also supports remote control.

The new product is intended to give military personnel a wider range of tools for different targets. Palytsia is suitable for hitting small and uncomplicated targets within 90 km, while Bulava can be directed at larger and more expensive equipment located further from the line of contact.

The new drone is currently undergoing beta testing with combat units and has already achieved its first hits. Serial production is to begin after this.
