Upgraded Wild Hornets video transmitter enters serial production
The module, with an output power of up to 4 W, has passed state trials on three types of the company’s UAVs

Ukrainian company Wild Hornets has launched serial production of the HV VTX Pro video transmitter for UAVs integrated with its Hornet Vision digital communications system. State trials confirmed the module’s stated specifications across three of the company’s UAV platforms, Wild Hornets told Defender Media.
The HV VTX Pro was tested on the Sting high-speed interceptor drone, the Queen of Hornets heavy bomber/cargo platform, and the 10-inch Wild Hornets Digital anti-aircraft drone. During the trials, operators used the Hornet Vision Ctrl remote control unit.
According to the company, the module increases the video transmitter’s maximum output power to 4 W — more than double that of the previous version. This extends the operational range of digital video transmission and improves link resilience against electronic-warfare jamming.
The company also reported that several UAV performance parameters exceeded official specifications during testing with the new module.
Earlier, the company upgraded its Hornet Vision digital video transmission system, expanding the number of independent communication channels from nine to 25. This allows up to 25 crews to operate simultaneously in the same radio-frequency environment, compared with a maximum of 10 crews for analogue systems.
