Ukrainian SkyFall announces strategic partnership with Airbus
one of the key areas of cooperation will be the integration of its P1-SUN interceptor drones with Airbus’ Air C2 airspace management system

Ukrainian company SkyFall and European Airbus Defence and Space have signed a memorandum establishing a strategic partnership, representatives of the Ukrainian manufacturer shared with Defender Media.
The agreement was signed during the ILA Berlin Air Show in the presence of German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius.
According to SkyFall, one of the key areas of cooperation will be the integration of its P1-SUN interceptor drones with Airbus’ Air C2 airspace management system.
The company noted that P1-SUN interceptors have already destroyed around 10,000 Russian drones of various types, demonstrating the technology’s effectiveness against aerial threats.
“This became the foundation for our partnership with Airbus, under which we are working to create a next-generation layered air defence system,” SkyFall said.
Michael Schoellhorn, CEO of Airbus Defence and Space, stated that countering emerging threats in European airspace — including mass drone attacks and other strike systems — requires technological agility, cross-border cooperation, and combat-proven solutions. According to him, the alliance with SkyFall is intended to bridge the gap between traditional defence systems and rapidly developed innovations.
“Airbus brings systems expertise and extensive experience in command-and-control solutions, particularly in Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD). Ukraine contributes invaluable battlefield experience and technologies proven under real combat conditions,” Schoellhorn said.

Overall, the partnership between SkyFall and Airbus aims to strengthen the protection of Ukraine’s airspace against drone and missile attacks while reinforcing Ukraine’s role as a leading European hub for defence innovation.
The initiative will also contribute to the development of the European defence ecosystem by combining Western systems expertise with combat-tested Ukrainian technologies.
Company officials noted that Airbus Defence and Space is part of Airbus SE, a global corporation operating across the aerospace, defence and telecommunications sectors. Airbus currently has a market capitalisation of more than $143 billion.
On 10 June, during the ILA Berlin Air Show, Ukrainian Armoured Vehicles also signed a similar memorandum with MBDA, the European missile manufacturer behind the Taurus cruise missile.
