The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has codified and approved for operational use the Buria robotic turret, developed by Frontline Robotics, according to a company statement.

The Buria is engineered for the remote engagement of targets from defilade or covered positions. It is compatible with Mk 19, RDS40, and AGL 53 automatic grenade launchers, as well as the Browning M2 heavy machine gun and their equivalents. The system features an integrated ballistic computer and supports a precision-led “coordinate–shot–hit” operational cycle.

The turret offers programmable firing modes, sector-based engagement, and a full 360° traverse. Furthermore, the system is capable of automatically adjusting fire based on real-time points of impact.

The module integrates seamlessly with battlefield management systems, such as ‘Kropyva’ and ‘Armor’, allowing for operation via digital terrain maps and the storage of up to 256 target profiles. The combat module is available in various configurations tailored to specific weapon types, including grenade launchers and machine guns.

The turret is already deployed by units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces and has undergone continuous refinement based on frontline feedback. Combat units highlight the effectiveness of remote operation from cover and the system’s high precision in target engagement.

Earlier, Defender Media reported on the integration of the Buria turret with the ARDAL unmanned ground vehicle by BUREVII and the THeMIS UGV by Milrem Robotics.
