Ukrainian defence tech company General Cherry has developed a new interceptor drone, the General Cherry AIR Speed. It is a more compact and faster version of the General Cherry AIR UAV, which launched the company’s interceptor line.

The new drone is focused on missions where rapid interception, aggressive manoeuvring and the ability to engage small targets are critical. It is capable of intercepting fast and manoeuvrable aerial targets, including enemy strike UAVs.

The General Cherry AIR Speed is built on an 8-inch frame, which has reduced its dimensions while improving manoeuvrability and in-air reaction speed. According to the manufacturer, the UAV’s maximum speed reaches 236 km/h.

Its smaller size and higher flight dynamics allow the drone to operate in scenarios where larger interceptors are limited by inertia and acceleration.

The General Cherry AIR Speed is already available for order on the Brave1 Market platform.

At the end of December, the company reported the completion of codification of its own line of fibre-optic FPV drones, Cheneral Cherry OPTIX. According to the manufacturer, UAVs of this type are already in use by more than 20 combat units, demonstrating an 82% successful hit rate in combat conditions.
