TAF Drones transforms into TAF Industries and expands its product line

In addition to UAVs, the company is now developing initiation boards, targeting systems, electronic warfare, and more

On 8 August, TAF Drones announced its rebranding — the company is now called TAF Industries. According to the statement, this marks a transformation of the business, not just a name change. In addition to the FPV drones with which the project began, the company’s portfolio now includes over 30 technological products of various types.

“We’ve grown from a focused FPV team into an engineering force building critical solutions for the frontlines,” the statement reads. The company says that as of today, TAF Industries operates over 20 manufacturing sites capable of producing up to 80,000 FPV drones per month. In addition, it has developed more than 30 defence tech products, including:

  • Electronic warfare;
  • Initiation boards;
  • AI-assisted targeting solutions;
  • Remote control systems;
  • Strike and reconnaissance UAV platforms, as well as interceptor drones.

The day before the announcement, the company revealed that Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence had codified its TAF-P2 initiation board. “This is a high-tech board for controlling drone payloads. It handles three critical functions: arming, disarming, and activation,” the company explains.

According to the developers, the TAF-P2 features a built-in accelerometer, visual status indicators, mechanical arming pin, remote deactivation, arming and initiation capabilities, OSD indicators for status and detonator presence, as well as configuration options for contact wires, impact sensors, and a self-destruct timer via Betaflight.

As previously reported by Defender Media, TAF Drones introduced a new unmanned aerial system — the FR1 “Kolibri 13”, developed in collaboration with the Darknode unit. It is a relay drone designed for missions in complex terrain and under active electronic warfare conditions.
