Khyzhak REBOFF became the first fibre-optic drones codified by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence
The product line includes five models with coils from 10 to 20 kilometres

Ukrainian company 3DTech has completed the codification process for its fibre-optic unmanned aerial systems (UAS), Khyzhak REBOFF, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence reports. It is the first domestic manufacturer to achieve codification for drones of this type.
Khyzhak REBOFF drones are equipped with fibre-optic coils ranging from 10 to 20 kilometres in length, offering resistance to electronic warfare (EW) and enabling their use in a variety of combat scenarios. Development began in 2023 in response to operational requests from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The first trial batches were delivered to military units in 2024.
The product line currently includes five models, already deployed with combat brigades:
- Khyzhak REBOFF 10 Lite 10 km – designed for urban combat and assault defence. It has an effective operational range of 8–9 km and carries a payload of up to 1.8 kg.
- Khyzhak REBOFF 10 Lite 15 km – a budget-friendly option for frontline operations, with a 1.5 kg payload and an additional 5 km of fibre.
- Khyzhak REBOFF 20 km – intended for striking frontline infrastructure, including artillery, mortars and EW systems. Equipped with dual battery packs for improved balance and manoeuvrability.
- Khyzhak REBOFF 15 km – suitable for ambush operations near enemy logistical lines. Powered by a single battery pack, allowing for an increased payload capacity.
- Khyzhak REBOFF 10 km – capable of carrying the heaviest payload in the range, up to 2.2 kg, at distances of up to 10 km. Effective in urban combat and defensive operations.
All models are engineered for flights at altitudes of up to 500 metres and speeds of up to 70 km/h, with some prototypes demonstrating speeds of up to 143 km/h during testing.
Each system features quick-release mounts, enabling rapid assembly and disassembly without the need for cable ties. All models are equipped with landing legs for stable take-off, landing, and prolonged stationary operation in ambush scenarios. Reboff coils can also be mounted on 10- and 13-inch drones from other manufacturers.
The company is currently preparing to codify new drone variants with 25- and 30-kilometre coils, which, according to developers, will enhance the capabilities of Ukraine’s Defence Forces and support operations deep behind enemy lines.
