Ministry of Digital Transformation and Brave1 launched Ukrainian defence tech marketplace

The Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Brave1 Defence Technology Cluster have presented Brave1 Market — a platform designed to accelerate the deployment of innovations to the frontline.

Over 1,000 innovative solutions are already available on the platform — including drones, ground robots, electronic warfare and electronic support measures equipment, components, AI-based solutions, software, and ammunition. Both codified and uncodified products will be available for purchase through the platform.

“Brave1 Market will become a kind of Amazon for the military, allowing units to select exactly the technologies they need at the frontline. This will help solve the problem of access to effective technologies, which the military often do not know about, although they already exist and can significantly improve operational performance,” said Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation and Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.

To protect manufacturers, authentication is required via the “Diia” application when accessing the open catalogue. Particularly sensitive information is stored in a closed catalogue, access to which is restricted to verified military personnel through the “Delta” system.

To make a purchase, military units must select a product from the open catalogue on the website or from the closed catalogue in the “Delta” system, after which they can contact the manufacturer directly to conclude a contract. Subsequently, military personnel will be able to leave reviews about the products, which will be visible to other units.

In the future, Brave1 Market is planned to be integrated with the eBaly system, whereby combat units earn points for neutralising enemy targets. These points can then be exchanged for goods from the marketplace to meet the units’ operational needs, supplementing centralised supply.

The Brave1 Market platform was unveiled on April 26 at the Brave1 Defense Tech Era event, dedicated to the second anniversary of the cluster’s launch. Defender was a media partner of the event. According to Brave1 CEO Nataliia Kushnerska, over the past two years Brave1 has developed an ecosystem uniting more than 1,500 Ukrainian defence tech companies and has awarded over 540 grants totaling 2.2 billion UAH.

For 2025, the budget allocates 2.9 billion UAH for defence tech grant support. Among the priority areas identified by Brave1 are: missiles, lasers, drone swarms, CRPA antennas, maritime drones, anti-Shahed and anti-KAB systems, “mother drones,” a Ukrainian counterpart to the Mavic, and guided munitions.

As a reminder, the Ministry of Defence and the Defense Procurement Agency plan to launch a state marketplace for weapons manufacturers and suppliers, DOT-Chain Defence, in May.
