Wild Hornets update digital video transmission system: what has changed

Ukrainian defence tech company Wild Hornets has released an update for its digital video transmission system Hornet Vision. It now supports 25 independent communication channels instead of nine, the manufacturer disclosed to Defender Media.

Wild Hornets explain that widespread analogue video transmission systems can ensure effective operation of up to 10 crews. Thanks to the update of its system, up to 25 crews with Hornet Vision will be able to operate simultaneously within one standard radar field.

This will allow an increase in the number of drones in one sector without creating critical radio interference with each other.

All new batches of the company’s drones already support this technology, and existing Hornet Vision control stations can also be updated. The manufacturer says this will not require additional costs.

The company also notes that the Hornet Vision Ctrl remote drone control technology is part of the Hornet Vision ecosystem. With its help, the military has intercepted over a thousand enemy drones.
