Ukrainian Unmanned Technologies and Danish Vidar Industries to jointly produce Ravlyk UGV

Defence tech companies Ukrainian Unmanned Technologies and Danish Vidar Industries have signed a memorandum of understanding. Under it, the parties intend to jointly produce the Ravlyk UGV on Danish territory.

The parties have already identified a production site capable of manufacturing more than 3,000 Ravlyks per year.

Co-founder of the Ukrainian company Serhii Kulikov clarified to Defender Media that funding from the Danish government is planned to finance a batch of around 1,000 units, which will be handed over to the front.

Vidar Industries brings capabilities in industrialisation, production engineering and scalable manufacturing to the partnership, which are combined with UUT’s technology, systems engineering and knowledge of operating conditions. More news is promised in the coming weeks.

The COO of Vidar Industries, Mark N. Ranum, says that it was UUT’s extensive experience, as well as the team itself, that caught their attention. ‘They combine strong technical capabilities with a pragmatic understanding of what soldiers actually need in the field’, he adds.

UUT will oversee development, engineering and platform advancement in Ukraine, while Vidar Industries will handle production preparation, assembly processes, supplier management, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

Ukrainian Unmanned Technologies previously announced an industrial partnership with French company Haulotte. The latter will support production of the systems developed by UUT.

At the same time, this is not Vidar Industries’ first cooperation with Ukrainian manufacturers. It has already signed an agreement with Twist Robotics on producing drones from the Saker line in Denmark.
