Ukrainian government adds drone components to 15% compensation programme for domestic tech
The compensation applies to products with at least 40% local production

The “Made in Ukraine” programme, which offers a 15% state reimbursement for the purchase of domestically produced equipment, has expanded to include new categories — including components for drones. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.
The compensation programme now includes, in particular, structural parts for unmanned systems – including housings and structural elements, power plants, control and navigation systems, video and FPV transmission systems, communications and telemetry, power and charging systems, fibre-optic systems, weapons and specialised modules.
The government has also expanded the list of programme participants: utility companies are now eligible to apply for compensation, provided the equipment is purchased using funds from their own economic activities.
Other eligible equipment includes mixing plants, pumps, drilling equipment, boilers, paint booths, tank cars, gas turbine units and engines, among others.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced the partial compensation programme in September 2024. It provides reimbursement of 15% of the cost of Ukrainian equipment and energy-related machinery. Initially, the programme covered wheeled, construction, municipal and special-purpose equipment, as well as all types of energy equipment.
It is also worth noting that the government previously cancelled customs duties and VAT on the import of fibre optics.
