3rd Assault Brigade launches training programme for future ground robotics operators

The 3rd Separate Assault Brigade has launched a new training programme for operators of unmanned ground vehicles, developed in partnership with the Boryviter Military School and the Dignitas Foundation.

Training will take place in Kyiv at a newly opened facility established under the KillHouse.academy initiative. According to the brigade, this is Ukraine’s first training centre that combines frontline experience, engineering innovation and modern approaches to military education. The school’s infrastructure includes a dedicated training ground, simulation hall, fleet of robotic platforms, workshops and lecture rooms.

The five-day course runs full-time and combines theoretical instruction with simulator-based exercises and practical training in field conditions.

Trainees learn the structure and operational principles of UGVs and study their tactical use in combat scenarios. A significant part of the course focuses on developing control skills using simulators and real-world platforms. Training also includes radio communication procedures, technical servicing, cooperation with UAV teams and battlefield management systems. On the final day, participants take a practical exam, and those who pass receive a certificate.

Previously, the brigade launched additional courses at KillHouse.academy, including training for FPV drone operators, engineers and a basic military training programme delivered in the format of an intensive three-day field game.
