VC company ZAS Ventures has launched the equity crowdfunding platform BeFunders, which will focus exclusively on defense technologies during the war. This was announced by the company’s co-founder Andrii Zinchuk.

Any startup with the Brave1 status granted by the cluster can be placed on this platform and raise funds from Ukrainian individual investors. The minimum investment is $100. Zinchuk also noted that the first deal was closed last week, and the public launch of the platform is scheduled for July.

“We are working in stealth mode. But since this is a B2C project, its technical implementation must be flawless. As soon as the Russians see the platform, they will try to launch DDoS attacks,” explained the co-founder of ZAS Ventures.

The project aims to solve two key problems:

  • Donation fatigue. People can become co-owners of projects and receive potential profits (upside) in case of business transformation, sale, or exit.
  • The problem of gambling among the military. Instead of spending money on online casinos, the military can unite and invest in the creation of new military technologies, be the first to receive them, and increase the effectiveness of their units in the fight against the enemy.

ZAS Ventures recently invested $50,000 in the AI platform Mantis Analytics.
