Head of Electronics Department

We are looking for a Head of Electronics Department to lead the development of the company’s electronic products. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire development lifecycle — from technical requirements and system specifications to delivering robust, production-ready solutions capable of operating in demanding combat conditions.

This is a leadership role that combines engineering team management, process ownership, and technical oversight, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges of electronics development in the defence technology industry.

The Head of Electronics Department is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and development of a team that includes circuit design engineers, PCB design and layout specialists, and embedded software developers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Organising the electronics development process in accordance with technical requirements, from system architecture and technical decision-making through to validation of the finished product.
  • Managing the full lifecycle of the electronic product: prototype → testing → refinement → production-ready solution.
  • Planning work, prioritising tasks, and ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Ensuring effective collaboration between circuit design engineers, PCB design and layout engineers, and embedded software developers.
  • Coordinating with adjacent departments, including R&D, manufacturing, testing, service, and operational readiness.
  • Ensuring that designs meet requirements for manufacturability, operational use, and maintainability.
  • Analysing technical risks and making decisions to mitigate them.
  • Implementing and improving development standards, documentation practices, and internal engineering processes.
  • Developing the team through mentoring, competency assessment, growth planning, and strengthening technical culture.
  • Fostering a culture of accountability for outcomes rather than simply task completion.

Our expectations:

  • A higher technical education in electronics, radio engineering, embedded systems, or a related field.
  • Experience in electronics development (hardware / embedded) and a solid understanding of the full product development lifecycle.
  • Experience leading an engineering team, or readiness to take on a leadership role.
  • Understanding of key processes: circuit design, PCB development and layout, embedded development, integration, and electronics testing.
  • Ability to work with technical specifications, translating requirements into realistic technical solutions and actionable plans.
  • Strong systems thinking, accountability, and the ability to make decisions in conditions of uncertainty.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in MilTech / defence or related sectors is considered an advantage.

We offer:

  • Official employment from day one in accordance with Ukrainian labour law, including full access to paid leave, sick leave, and social contributions. Your present and future are protected.
  • Competitive compensation with a transparent review system and ongoing market benchmarking to ensure fair pay levels.
  • A structured career and professional development system, allowing both horizontal and vertical growth within the organisation. The company is committed to long-term cooperation and employee development.
  • Work in a dynamic team using cutting-edge technologies, where today’s pace drives tomorrow’s results.
  • Health insurance, with 100% coverage, as we invest in both the physical and mental wellbeing of our people.
  • English language courses, fully covered, regardless of your current level, to help you improve or maintain proficiency.
  • A relocation package for a safe and comfortable move to Kyiv, including a budget, professional real estate support, and HR assistance throughout the relocation process.
  • Military deferment (reservation) processing from the first working day.
  • Office-based work in a comfortable workspace with a shelter and convenient access to the metro.
