Ukrainian UAV manufacturer Ukrspecsystems has unveiled One Punch, the first interceptor drone in the company’s product portfolio. Among its key features are an operational range of up to 45 km, a maximum speed of 340 km/h, and an onboard AI assistant powered by machine vision that automatically highlights and tracks targets.

Key specifications of the One Punch interceptor include:

• Operational range: up to 45 km
• Maximum target acquisition range: 800 m
• Flight endurance: up to 15 minutes at cruising speed
• Cruising speed: 190 km/h
• Maximum speed: 340 km/h
• Standard warhead: 1.2 kg directional fragmentation payload

According to the manufacturer, the system was developed with a focus on three factors that determine interception effectiveness: response speed, autonomy and reducing crew workload.

The company says the system can be deployed from virtually any position within 15–20 minutes, or in as little as 10 minutes when transported on a dedicated vehicle.

The interceptor is not tied to fixed infrastructure. Once deployed, the drone remains in a constant state of readiness, with a dedicated launch hub maintaining battery charge. The time between receiving a target designation and launch does not exceed 30 seconds.

Ukrspecsystems emphasises that operating One Punch does not require FPV controllers, joysticks or additional displays. Instead, the system is controlled using a laptop and a mouse. Its onboard AI assistant, based on machine vision technology, automatically highlights and tracks targets, reducing the risk of human error caused by operator fatigue and lowering overall crew workload.

“There are already dozens of interceptor drones on the market, but we deliberately chose to place the operator at the centre of the process,” the company said. “When mass attacks overwhelm air-defence systems through sheer numbers and require personnel to work around the clock, interception effectiveness inevitably declines. If successful interception requires only a few clicks while the machine handles the most demanding tasks, crews retain more capacity and endurance.”

The system is supplied with standard munitions and does not require additional modifications or improvised warheads. The interceptor is also equipped with a controlled self-destruct function. In the event of a loss of communication, self-destruction is triggered automatically.

According to Ukrspecsystems, a standard One Punch crew consists of three personnel: a pilot-operator, a navigator and a technician. Operators with basic UAV knowledge can complete training in seven days.

Earlier this month, Defender Media reported that Shark, Ukrspecsystems’ flagship reconnaissance drone, became one of the main “actors” in the Ukrainian tactical action thriller Killhouse.
