Ukrainian Armor signs strategic partnership with Czech AviaNera Technologies
The companies will jointly develop and supply turbojet and turboprop engines for Ukrainian missile and drone systems

Ukrainian Armor has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Czech company AviaNera Technologies. The agreement was signed on 15 June during the Eurosatory 2026 defence exhibition in Paris.
According to the Ukrainian company, the partnership will focus on the joint development and supply of turbojet and turboprop engines for Ukrainian missile and unmanned systems. The agreement also envisages the future establishment of joint ventures, the expansion of production capacity, and the localisation of relevant technologies in Ukraine.
AviaNera Technologies is a Czech technology company that forms part of CSG (Czechoslovak Group), one of Central Europe’s largest defence and industrial holdings. The company specialises in the development and production of compact turbojet and turboprop engines for unmanned aerial systems, loitering munitions, cruise missiles and other aviation platforms.
Commenting on the agreement, AviaNera Technologies CEO Pavel Čechal said the company is rapidly expanding production of propulsion systems for unmanned aerial systems and guided missiles.
“Propulsion systems are often the bottleneck in their production. That is why our strategy focuses on expanding manufacturing capacity and localising production in key markets, and Ukraine is undoubtedly one of them,” he said.
Vladyslav Belbas, CEO of Ukrainian Armor, described the agreement as an important step towards strengthening Ukraine’s missile and drone capabilities.
“Our goal is to create new opportunities for the production of advanced engines for missile and unmanned systems. Joint development of manufacturing capacity and the future creation of joint ventures will allow us not only to integrate advanced European technologies into Ukrainian platforms, but also to jointly develop next-generation precision-guided weapon systems,” Belbas said.
Pavel Čechal also noted that Ukrainian Armor has been a long-standing partner of CSG.
“Cooperation in propulsion systems is a logical continuation of the licensed production programme for Western-calibre ammunition, which CSG successfully implemented together with Ukrainian Armoured Vehicles last year,” he said.
