Trident Group has unveiled AI modules for strike drones
The technologies have been tested in combat units, including the Ukrainian Defence Intelligence, National Guard, and Special Operations Forces

Ukrainian defence tech company Trident Group has developed four AI-based products to use in the strike drones. They are designed for autonomous UAV control and target search and detection under electronic warfare conditions.
Trident Group states that it grew out of R&D Center WINSTARS.AI and develops modular onboard autonomy for UAVs. Its product line comprises four guidance modules:
- TRIDENT LMT – a terminal guidance module that enables strikes under EW conditions. It provides automatic target tracking and engagement in the event of complete communications loss.
- TRIDENT Mid Strike for strikes at tactical depth. It automatically detects and designates a target, after which the module provides autonomous tracking and a precision strike upon target confirmation.
- TRIDENT Deep Strike – a module for strategic missions that supports high-resolution video processing and automatically recognises objects in real time at long range.
- TRIDENT Interceptor designed to engage enemy UAVs. Also optimised for high-speed interception.

Developers are currently accepting product demonstration requests through their website. Company adviser Dmytro Sofyna wrote that the international company’s solutions are already available to the Armed Forces of Ukraine: “This refers both to AI drones with autonomous control and target acquisition through to their complete elimination, as well as a range of various developments regarding other beneficial applications of AI in defence, including in cybersecurity.”
The company’s website states that the technologies have been tested in combat units, including the Ukrainian Defence Intelligence, National Guard, and Special Operations Forces.
