The Droid TW 7.62 unmanned ground vehicle, developed by the Ukrainian company DevDroid, played a key role in repelling a Russian assault while under the control of an operator from the ‘Disney Squad’ unit. A video of the operation was shared by the robot’s manufacturer.

According to the developers, during the mission, the robot identified an ambush consisting of two loitering munitions lying in wait for Ukrainian troops and successfully neutralised them. The system then suppressed enemy personnel with direct fire. Later in the engagement, the Droid TW 7.62 continued to strike enemy positions.

As a result of deploying a single ground robot, the unit managed to completely break the assault.

The Droid TW 7.62 was engineered by Ukrainian specialists as a reconnaissance and strike platform. It is adapted for integration with the KT-7.62 (PKT) machine gun and features an onboard ballistic computer to enhance firing precision. The system also incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) elements that enable it to automatically detect, lock on to, and track targets during combat operations.

Earlier, Defender Media reported on a mission involving the Droid TW, in which the robotic system successfully captured three Russian soldiers.
