Kateryna Chernohorenko to launch “Chief Strategic Officer in a Defence Company” course

Kateryna Chernohorenko, former Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development, will launch her own course, “Chief Strategic Officer in a Defence Company.” The course will start on 7 April, and Chernohorenko shared the details with Defender Media.

Owners and employees of deftech companies will participate in the course. The author does not disclose the cost and structure, but says that selected specialists will:

  • gain systematic knowledge of strategic management in defence tech;
  • develop their own practical strategy for the company’s development;
  • work with real cases and strategic planning tools.

Chernohorenko aims to build a community of strategists capable of making complex decisions in conditions of war and uncertainty. The course will be open to the first 29 people who apply. The author has already received 70 applications. She has already received 70 applications and notes that she does not plan to expand the intake – she wants to give each participant genuine, quality attention.

Kateryna Chernohorenko worked at the Ministry of Defence from 2023 to 2025 as Deputy Minister for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalisation. In particular, she was responsible for developing the Army of Drones project, the Reserve+ and Army+ applications, and the scaling of DELTA.
