Scream Industries has developed the Prorok FPV-drone detector, which is now being prepared for serial production

A new manufacturer has entered the segment of drone detectors based on analogue video signals — Scream Industries, with its field video-signal analyser Prorok. The company says the system has already completed a full cycle of field trials and is now being prepared for serial production. Defender Media spoke with the creator of the Prorok concept about the system’s capabilities.

The idea for creating the detector originated from Dmytro “Turbo” of the Scream Industries team. “Laboratory climate tests are now underway to determine how long the device can operate in extreme conditions. We will make design improvements based on the results,” he said.

The device functions as an additional personal or group tool for monitoring the airspace and is ready for use immediately after switching on. No configuration is required, as all settings are pre-installed. Prorok scans three frequency bands in parallel and continues scanning the remaining ones even when an analogue video signal is detected on one of them. The minimum detection distance is 1,000–1,200 metres.

The detector stores all identified frequencies from the moment it is switched on and generates a session log. For each frequency, it displays the time elapsed since detection, and the user can activate a selected frequency and switch to the corresponding band.

Prorok is already available for pre-order at a price of around 21,000 UAH ($500). The team is also working on codifying the product, after which the detector will be available for centralised procurement through state marketplaces.
