On 10 November, US defence tech company Neros announced that it had raised $75 million from top American funds. The Series B round was led by Sequoia Capital, with participation from Vy Capital US and Interlagos. The funds will be used to scale up production, develop autonomous technologies, and expand international operations — including the company’s Ukrainian office.

Neros has strong ties with Ukraine. In March 2025, the company secured a contract to deliver 6,000 Archer FPV drones to Ukraine. Earlier this year, Neros also opened an office in Kyiv and announced its expansion in the autumn. Several positions are currently open at its Ukrainian branch.

Including previous rounds, Neros has now raised over $120 million. The new investment follows a period of rapid growth, as the company received a major contract from the US Marine Corps and became one of the primary FPV drone suppliers for the US Army.

The newly raised capital will allow Neros to boost its production capacity and strengthen its China-free supply chain. The company plans to ramp up mass production of its flagship Archer and Archer Strike drones, as well as ground control systems. Neros will also invest in R&D to develop a new generation of autonomous systems.

“Neros is one of the fastest companies in history to be awarded meaningful defence contracts. It shows how mission-critical FPV drones are,” said Shaun Maguire, partner at Sequoia Capital. “Drone performance and high-throughput production go hand in hand. Neros should be the first 1 million drone factory in the United States,” added Achal Upadhyaya, founder of Interlagos.

The company also announced plans to expand its international operations, including further growth of the Kyiv office. In addition, Neros already supplies drones to the UK Ministry of Defence.

“Both government and private partners understand the critical gaps in the West’s drone manufacturing capabilities and are deploying the needed capital to start filling them. We’ve seen first-hand the positive attitude shift over the last eighteen months, but there’s still a long way to go. Fundamental challenges with drone technology and production will not be solved overnight, but Neros is committed to leading the charge,” Monroe-Anderson added.

Founded in 2023, Neros has grown swiftly, having already shipped thousands of its systems to Ukraine and the U.S. Department of War. The company is unique in its approach to designing the majority of its components in-house, focusing on improving key performance areas, including resistance to electronic warfare.
