ARX Robotics and ROBONEERS integrate SABER combat module with GEREON UGV
Initial deliveries of the system will be made to meet the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

German company ARX Robotics and Ukrainian defence technology firm ROBONEERS have completed initial integration testing of the SABER combat module with the GEREON unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) platform, the companies told Defender Media.
The companies plan to integrate ROBONEERS’ SABER combat modules in the M2 and MK 19 (M) configurations with the GEREON platform by the end of 2026. Initial deliveries will be made to meet the operational needs of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
GEREON provides mobility, power, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, while the SABER module provides fire support.
GEREON is ARX Robotics’ series of medium-sized unmanned ground vehicles. According to the company, it represents the largest fleet of Western-built unmanned ground vehicles currently deployed in Ukraine.
GEREON’s modular design allows the platform to be adapted for various tasks, including logistical resupply, casualty evacuation, electronic warfare, reconnaissance, combat operations, and counter-uncrewed aerial system roles. Operating the platforms enables the company to refine its systems under combat conditions and advance the development of next-generation uncrewed land technologies.
SABER is a range of modular remotely operated combat modules developed by ROBONEERS for various weapon systems.
Defender Media previously reported on the establishment of the joint venture ARX Industries, which is intended to scale up production of the Rys Pro unmanned ground vehicle in Germany and Ukraine.
