Dwarf Engineering announces partnership with PROTAS

Ukrainian defence tech companies Dwarf Engineering and PROTAS have announced expanded cooperation on autonomous unmanned systems. One area of joint work is integrating Dwarf Engineering’s Narsil terminal guidance system with PROTAS’s new onboard computer, according to a statement.

Dwarf Engineering develops the Narsil terminal guidance system and KordycepsOS, a software and hardware platform that lets software from different manufacturers run and be updated on all types of unmanned systems.

PROTAS develops a computing module that combines real-time flight control, video processing and hardware-accelerated AI algorithms on a single chip. Integration with Dwarf Engineering’s KordycepsOS is intended to enable running software from other developers on this hardware.

PROTAS was founded in June 2025. It is a defence startup specialising in end-to-end development of drone software and hardware solutions. The company’s profile covers embedded software and electronic component development for unmanned systems.

Earlier this month, Dwarf Engineering announced a partnership with laser guidance systems manufacturer M-Fly. The cooperation combines the two companies’ technologies and brings them together on research projects.
