L-80 strike drone, Grim R interceptor, Grim 18 bomber: what Grim Tech unveiled in Poland

Ukrainian manufacturer Grim Tech presented a line of multi-role UAVs at the MSPO 2026 international defence exhibition in Kielce, Poland. Defender Media learned this from handouts distributed at the Ukrainian pavilion. Among the developments on display were the Grim LA-80 fixed-wing strike drone, the high-speed Grim R FPV interceptor, and the reusable Grim 18 FPV bomber.

Grim LA-80 fixed-wing strike drone

The Grim LA-80 is a fixed-wing strike UAV engineered primarily to engage high-value stationary targets in the enemy’s rear, including field fortifications, dugouts, revetments, and static military equipment.

The platform supports a payload capacity of up to 5 kg. Its maximum operational range reaches 80 km with a 3.5 kg payload and 60 km with a 5.5 kg payload, delivering a tactical radius of 70 km. Grim Tech notes that with a reduced 2 kg payload, the drone could theoretically reach 100 km, subject to communication link capabilities.

The LA-80 features a top speed of 140 km/h, an operational altitude of 300–500 m, and a service ceiling of 2,000 m.

The Grim LA-80 is currently in the final stages of development and has not yet seen combat deployment. Grim Tech is preparing a pre-series batch for delivery to front-line units for operational trials.

Grim R interceptor

The Grim R is a high-speed FPV interceptor engineered to destroy aerial targets and execute precision strike missions.

The platform boasts a maximum operational range of 35 km and a flight endurance of 20 minutes. The drone carries a 0.4 kg payload, reaches top speeds of 280 km/h, and features a service ceiling of 4,000 m.

Grim 18 bomber

The Grim 18 is a reusable FPV drone configurable for diverse operational roles depending on mission requirements.

The platform delivers a tactical radius of up to 70 km. Configured with a 1.5 kg payload, the Grim 18 covers 50–70 km; with 3 kg, 40–50 km; and with a 4.5 kg payload, 30–37 km. It reaches a maximum speed of 120 km/h with a cruising speed of 80–100 km/h.

GRIM 10 OPTIC 25 and GRIM S tactical strike drones

The GRIM 10 OPTIC 25 is a 10-inch FPV strike drone utilising a fibre-optic control architecture and video link. The platform is currently deployed in active combat operations in Ukraine.

It features an operational range of up to 25 km and a flight endurance of 20 minutes, carrying up to a 2 kg payload at speeds up to 100 km/h.

The GRIM S is an 8-inch tactical FPV strike quadcopter designed to engage personnel, light armor, and aerial targets. The platform relies on manual piloting and integrates a high-sensitivity optical camera for daytime and twilight operations.

The GRIM S is combat-proven and has completed official MoD codification. It maintains maximum and tactical ranges of 30 km, with a flight endurance of 35 minutes, carries up to a 200 g payload, reaches top speeds of 180 km/h, and climbs to a service ceiling of 3,000 m.
