The investment group MITS Capital has announced the launch of its third MITS Accelerator cohort. This new intake is the most extensive in the programme’s history, comprising eight Ukrainian defence-tech companies.

The six-month programme is delivered in partnership with American University Kyiv (AUK) and has been updated to align with the evolving security landscape and market dynamics. The cohort includes teams developing critical defence components, command-and-control systems, AI-driven software, advanced weaponry, as well as counter-UAS and automation solutions. The identities of the participating companies remain classified.

The accelerator integrates mentorship with capital: teams that successfully complete the programme may secure investment starting from $100,000. Post-graduation, additional follow-on funding may be provided by the MITS Lightning Fund.

The refined curriculum focuses on business scaling, international market entry, navigating regulatory frameworks, and integration into global defence supply chains. Participants will undergo intensive training in these domains over the six-month period.

MITS Capital noted that the programme’s evolution reflects shifting market trends, specifically the burgeoning role of artificial intelligence, integrated counter-drone ecosystems, and the burgeoning export potential of Ukrainian defence products.

MITS Capital is an investment group founded in 2024, maintaining offices in Kyiv and New York. The platform encompasses the accelerator, the MITS Lightning Fund venture capital arm, an investment banking division, and the MITS LAB project.
