Engineers’ Country 2026: dates, locations, and what participants can expect

Recruitment platform Lobby X, in partnership with the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, has announced the second national series of events Engineers’ Country — an initiative bringing together engineers, developers, scientists, and defence tech teams to strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities.

In May–June 2026, events will take place across seven Ukrainian cities: Ivano-Frankivsk, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv. Defender Media is a partner of the series.

For participants, it’s a chance to find jobs in the defence industry, join promising teams, get expert feedback on their products, and secure up to $100,000 in funding to develop their projects. For the market, it’s a way to quickly find talent and launch new tech solutions for the front and national security.

Who they’re looking for:

• Engineers and developers
• Designers and hardware engineers with experience building systems for complex environments
• Scientists and technical specialists in applied mathematics, physics, and microelectronics
• Defence tech teams seeking resources for production and scaling
• Industry experts with defence tech experience

“Over the past few years, Ukraine’s defence industry has made a major leap, and our technologies are proving their effectiveness globally,” said Vladyslav Hreziev, CEO and founder of Lobby X. “We want to bring together engineers from across the country to strengthen state capacity and help tech teams grow faster.”

Last year, the series also covered seven cities and brought together over 1,700 engineers from across Ukraine. Participants presented more than 100 defence tech ideas, built new professional connections, and launched collaborations between teams and experts.
