German Diehl was the first to test own UGV under the Test in Ukraine programme
The name of the drone is not specified, but it is likely to be the Ziesel platform

The German company Diehl Defence has tested its unmanned ground vehicle as part of the Test in Ukraine initiative, implemented by the Brave1 platform. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.
Diehl Defence, known for its IRIS-T air defence systems, has become the first foreign company to join the Test in Ukraine initiative. The tests of their UGV took place at the 3rd Assault Brigade training centre. The trial enabled the operation of the complex to be assessed in conditions as close as possible to combat. The Diehl Defence team received feedback from military personnel with experience of working with such systems, along with clear recommendations for adaptation to the real needs of the front.
Fedorov did not specify which model was tested. It is known that Diehl Defence has been promoting the Ziesel ground drone for some time – a multi-purpose platform and autonomous satellite for infantry units. Earlier, at the Enforce Tac exhibition, a reconnaissance version of the platform was presented, equipped with a sensor mast, a rotating optical station, and an AI-based object recognition system from the company Walaris.
It is likely that, following the initial testing phase, the Diehl Defence robotic complex will continue trials in combat conditions.
Diehl Defence is a German arms manufacturer that primarily produces missiles and ammunition. In 2022, with the support of the German government, the company delivered its IRIS-T SLM air defence systems to Ukraine.
Test in Ukraine is a programme that enables foreign manufacturers to send their latest models for combat testing in the war against Russia. Following remote training, Ukraine deploys the equipment to the front, tests it in real conditions, and then provides detailed feedback to technicians.
