CORE Team and Happy Monday to host online conference on careers in defence tech

On May 22, the recruiting company CORE Team and the career development platform Happy Monday are hosting the Talents for Defence Conference. According to the organizers, this will be the first online conference in Ukraine focused on careers in the military and defence tech sectors. Defender is the media partner of the event.

Featured speakers include:

• Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation
• Maksym Makarchuk, Head of Portfolio at Brave1
• Daria Yaniieva, Head of Defence at Sigma Software Group
• Ihor Fedirko, CEO of the Ukrainian Gunsmiths Council

More experts will be announced closer to the event. Speakers will discuss how defence tech products are developed, who employers are looking for, how teams are supported, and what it means to work in defence tech today. The detailed agenda and registration are available on the conference’s page. 

The conference will also present real-world industry cases, highlight current challenges and opportunities, offer guidance on communicating effectively under confidentiality, and feature over 50 current job openings in the sector.

The event will be held as a closed YouTube livestream. Participation requires a donation starting at UAH 300. 100% of proceeds will go to projects supported by the KOLO Foundation. Upon registration, participants will receive a confirmation email and, a few days before the event, a personal link to the livestream.
