The Ministry of Defence has signed four contracts worth UAH 3 billion for the production of “anti-Shahed” interceptor drones
State banks will possibly provide lending for drone production under state guarantees

Three Ukrainian companies have received state contracts for the production of interceptor drones capable of countering Russian “Shaheds”. In total, four agreements worth more than 3 billion hryvnias have already been signed, Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal reported. The names of the manufacturers have not been disclosed.
The ministry held a meeting with the participation of the Ministry of Digital Economy, the Brave1 cluster, drone manufacturers, and the country’s largest volunteer foundations. The main focus was on providing the Ukrainian military with modern drones, particularly those designed to intercept enemy UAVs.
In addition to contracts with domestic manufacturers, negotiations were also held this week with state banks regarding the possibility of lending for drone production under state guarantees.
The Ministry of Defence also reported the first agreements with international partners on attracting financing for the purchase of interceptors. Details of these agreements have not been disclosed at this time.
It is also worth noting that in June, the Norwegian corporation Kongsberg, which opened an office in Ukraine, announced its intention to produce “anti-Shahed” drones and naval unmanned aerial vehicles.
