Each year, Commercial UAV Expo hosts Pitch the Press, an event that showcases advanced solutions and the latest innovations in the UAV industry. This opportunity allows companies to present their products to a group of journalists eager to learn about the most advanced achievements in this field.
Sixteen teams were selected from a large number of applicants to present their latest breakthrough solutions. Each participant gave a two-minute pitch to the media, followed by a short Q&A session.
This year’s judges included Richard Thomas from Inside Unmanned Systems, Patrick Sherman from Roswell Flight Test Crew, and Scott Howe, Analyst Editor at Commercial UAV News. The judges focused on the level of innovation, use of advanced UAV technology, and potential for high ROI, and ultimately selected the top three entrants to drive the industry forward.
This is the first time Bavovna has won Pitch the Press. Last year, UAV manufacturers barely understood what the Ukrainian startup was doing with sensor fusion, AI and hybrid inertial navigation without GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System). Today, more and more people are realising that the global GPS system is no longer as stable as it used to be.
Here is how Maxim Prasolov, co-founder of Bavovna.ai, commented on the victory of the company:
