TAF Industries, Fire Point, Culver Aerospace and Ukraviasystem sign partnerships with German companies

Six partnership agreements between Ukrainian and German defence companies were signed yesterday under the Build with Ukraine initiative, the Ukrainian Council of Defence Industry reported. In addition to the previously announced joint ventures between Quantum Systems and Ukraine’s WIY Drones and Tencore, Ukrainian firms TAF Industries, Culver Aerospace, Ukraviasystem, and Fire Point also signed agreements with German partners. The agreements were signed on 14 April at the Embassy of Ukraine in Germany and follow the Build with Ukraine cooperation model. As part of the package, German defence unicorn Helsing and Ukrainian UAV manufacturer Culver Aerospace agreed to jointly develop and produce systems at a shared production site in Germany. The German government is expected to finance deep-strike drone production under this partnership.

Ukrainian company Fire Point signed technology cooperation agreements with Diehl, a German developer of air defence systems, including the IRIS-T, which is widely used in Ukraine.

TAF Industries also signed a memorandum of understanding with German company Thyra to establish a joint Ukrainian-German venture focused on interceptor drone production. Public information about Thyra remains limited.

In addition, Ukraviasystem signed a cooperation memorandum with Germany’s POINToX covering joint production of missile and aviation systems. There is little publicly available information about POINToX.

Build with Ukraine is emerging as a practical model for cooperation between Ukraine’s defence industry and European partners, combining Ukrainian battlefield experience and engineering expertise with allied manufacturing capacity.
