Sichen deep-strike drone and more: MFA showcases new Ukrainian unmanned systems

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine has unveiled an updated exhibition of Ukrainian-produced weaponry and military hardware to commemorate the Day of Workers of the Defence Industrial Complex of Ukraine. New weapons and unmanned systems were added to the exhibition, the ministry said, including the unveiling of the Sichen deep-strike drone. According to the MFA, Ukraine now manufactures over half of the armaments deployed on the battlefield, with more than 400,000 personnel currently employed within the national defence industry.

Compared to the previous year, the exhibition has been augmented with RK-360 Neptun cruise missiles, AREION and Flamingo missiles, the Magura V7 naval drone, Stuhna-M and Korsar anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) systems, and the Bulava loitering munition. Also featured were the Sting, P1-SUN, and OCTOPUS interceptor drones, alongside Ratel M, Liut, and TerMIT UGVs.

The Buntar, GOR, Sichen, Sova-150, Horobets, Linza 3.0, and Vampire unmanned systems are showcased in a dedicated segment, alongside the Mirazh electronic warfare (EW) system and mock-ups of Ukrainian man-portable air defence systems (MANPADS).

The Portuguese news agency Lusa published photographs of the Sichen deep-strike UAV. According to the exhibition display, the drone boasts an operational range of up to 1,400 kilometres with a stated strike precision of within 20 metres. The system is equipped with a 40-kilogram warhead.

The Sichen deep-strike UAV is engineered to engage high-value targets, critical infrastructure, and enemy personnel concentrations. The platform is capable of operating in contested electronic warfare environments and conducting missions at operational-tactical depth during both day and night.

Earlier, Defender Media reported on the successful testing of the Teletactica system, which demonstrated the capability to transmit video feeds from a drone at a range of 170 km.
