Buntar Aerospace forms an advisory board. The first member is a co-founder of the Delta system

Ukrainian UAV and software developer Buntar Aerospace is forming an advisory board. It will help the company define strategic priorities, develop its technologies and scale in international markets, according to a press release.

The first board member is Marat Utiushev. He is one of the founders of the NGO Aerorozvidka and of Military Unit A2724, where the Delta situational awareness system originated. The Centre for Innovation and Defence Technology Development was formed on the basis of this unit, and Utiushev became its head. In early 2025, he was dismissed from the post of head of the Centre.

Buntar Aerospace co-founder Bohdan Sas says that Utiushev created one of the most effective digital products to emerge in Ukraine during the war. His experience in developing Delta and his understanding of the real needs of the military will help the company strengthen its product expertise and develop solutions that meet the requirements of modern warfare.

“The experience of Delta convinced me that the value of technology lies in its contribution to the army’s combat capability. What interested me about Buntar Aerospace is the combination of unmanned platforms and software in one team – this makes it possible to develop a comprehensive capability,” Utiushev says of his appointment.

The company will announce the next members of the advisory board later. Buntar Aerospace was founded in August 2023 by Ivan Kaunov, Bohdan Sas and Kateryna Bezsudna. The startup’s flagship product is the Buntar-3 reconnaissance drone. It is also developing Buntar Copilot, an AI software product that helps drone operators make decisions in combat.

At the beginning of October, Buntar Aerospace announced it had raised $16 million. The company said it would use the funds to accelerate product development, increase production capacity and strengthen its team.
