December1 unveils its portable Videoscanner D1 drone detector with 600–6100 MHz coverage

Ukrainian company December1 has unveiled the portable Videoscanner D1 drone detector, designed to detect analogue video signals from FPV drones. Defender Media learned from the manufacturer that the device operates without blind spots across the 600–6100 MHz range.

The Videoscanner D1 detects analogue video signals from FPV drones at a distance of up to 5 km. Detection takes up to 8 seconds, after which the device’s small screen displays a list of the frequencies of detected signals. The operator can view the image from the selected signal on the large screen.

The device can track several targets simultaneously, allowing the operator to lock onto one of them or switch between detected drones. In addition, the Videoscanner D1 can detect and display an inverted signal protected by a “scrambler”.

The device is controlled using several buttons. After detecting a drone, the detector emits an audible signal, allowing it to be used in the background, including while driving a car in frontline areas. The device can operate for up to 6 hours and supports fast charging.

In the near future, December1 plans to introduce a version of the device with an extended range of 600–8000 MHz.
