DoD Solution and Estonia’s DefSecIntel Solutions partner to develop counter-drone solutions

Estonian-Ukrainian defence tech company DoD Solution will cooperate with Estonian DefSecIntel Solutions in counter-drone defence. They signed the partnership memorandum during the MSPO exhibition in Poland. DoD Solution shared details of the agreement with Defender Media.

The companies will combine the EIRSHIELD system from DefSecIntel with the AURA AI autonomy platform from DoD Solution. The Estonian development provides multi-layered detection of hostile drones.

DoD Solution will provide the AURA SBC onboard computer and the AURA AI autonomy platform for unmanned systems. DoD’s developments will provide visual navigation, terminal-phase guidance, and autonomous mission execution for interceptors.

‘By combining DefSecIntel’s detection, command and control capabilities with our onboard autonomy technologies, we can create more effective systems for detecting and intercepting drones,’ says Roman Hapachylo, CEO of DoD Solution.

Joint trials and demonstrations will be conducted in Estonia, Ukraine and other European countries. The companies plan to use the technologies not only on the battlefield, but also to protect critical infrastructure, borders and other areas.

DefSecIntel Solutions was founded in 2018 and mainly works on countering hostile drones. Its system combines radar, radio-frequency, optical and acoustic sensors with an artificial intelligence-based command and control system.

It can detect aerial threats and integrate with interceptors that shoot down hostile drones. The company’s website also mentions the Euromite maritime drone, which not only detects targets in the air but can also carry various payloads.

The company is also present in Ukraine. In particular, it has supplied the SurveilSPIRE system for airspace monitoring in partnership with Rheinmetall.

DoD Solution develops guidance modules for various drone types. The project’s ultimate mission is to ensure drones’ full autonomy. To this end, DoD also partnered with Dutch company Axelera AI last month.
