How K-2 and Kara-Dag down jet-powered Shaheds with P1-SUN interceptor drones: video

During one of the latest Russian attacks, Ukrainian forces destroyed at least two jet-powered Shahed-type strike drones using P1-SUN interceptors developed by SkyFall. The company shared with Defender Media footage from interceptor cameras capturing the moments of impact.

The first video shows combat operations by the crew from the 20th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade K-2. The footage captures Ukrainian pilots skilfully guiding the interceptor onto the target, catching up with the enemy drone and destroying it mid-air. The operators demonstrate precision and a high level of training, SkyFall noted.

A similarly high level of skill was demonstrated by the BATMAN crew from the 15th Operational Assignment Brigade named after Hero of Ukraine Lieutenant Bohdan Zavada (Kara-Dag).

P1-SUN is a Ukrainian interceptor drone developed and manufactured by SkyFall, designed to destroy aerial targets, including Shahed-type strike UAVs.

The P1-SUN reaches speeds of up to 310 km/h, operates at ranges of up to 33 km and altitudes of up to 9,000 metres. Its endurance is up to 17 minutes, with a warhead of up to 800 grams. The cost of a single interceptor is just over $1,000.

The drone features its own control system, enabling remote operation — SkyFall says operators can control it from anywhere in the world.
