The Armed Forces of Ukraine conduct tests of smart mining and demining systems
This marks the first use of advanced methods for evaluating modern mine and explosive devices

The Armed Forces of Ukraine and Brave1 cluster have conducted large-scale testing of innovative solutions developed by Ukrainian manufacturers, focused on smart mining and demining of territory, within the framework of the “Iron proving ground” initiative.
During the event, manufacturers showcased various types of weaponry and equipment, including mines, drones, metal detectors, and information systems for detecting explosive devices. Representatives of several dozen domestic companies participated in the trials, presenting their own engineering solutions based on innovative technological approaches.
These tests were the first to incorporate advanced methods for assessing modern mine and explosive devices.
The purpose of the trials is not only to identify effective technologies for battlefield use, but also to encourage Ukrainian manufacturers to contribute more actively to strengthening the country’s defence capability.
“Iron proving ground” serves as a platform for the rapid and effective testing of weapon systems. The project is being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Ministry for Strategic Industries, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and the Centre for Scaling Technological Solutions. The site is equipped to accommodate various types of military weapons and equipment, including the simulation of radio interference and other conditions resembling combat scenarios. Manufacturers can access free services related to testing methodology and trial support, receive expert evaluation, and obtain consultations from military specialists.
