Additionally, information emerged regarding the modernisation of Kh-35 anti-ship missiles and the establishment of a communication window for Russian satellites over Ukraine. Read about these and other developments within the Russian military-industrial complex in Defender Media&#8217;s weekly review, <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/categories\/black-mirror\/\">Black Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deployment of the Rassvet satellite constellation continues<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Satellites belonging to the <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2026\/03\/black-mirror-52\/\">Russian Rassvet constellation<\/a> pass over Ukrainian territory up to four times a day, maintaining a communication session lasting 1\u20131.5 hours. Achieving round-the-clock coverage over Ukraine requires Russia to launch over 200 additional satellites\u2014a feat that could prove feasible as early as 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, the Rassvet system was included in the latest EU sanctions package. It was demonstrated at the exhibition equipped with an evacuation module.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Depesha-MK is a modernised heavy transport variant of the Depesha platform featuring a payload capacity of approximately 400 kg. Russian sources report a reinforced chassis and the integration of a thermal imaging channel with a resolution of 640\u00d7512.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Depesha-3 is a ground-based robotic system displayed in a combat configuration with the remotely operated PMZ-7 Moskit module, armed with a 7.62 mm machine gun for countering FPV drones and small UAVs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dovod UGV completes combat trials<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2026\/03\/black-mirror-50\/\">Dovod<\/a> system, designed for the covert delivery of FPV drones to a mission area and as a mobile launch point, has concluded operational trials under combat conditions. The platform was developed by the Centre for Unmanned Systems and Technologies in cooperation with the Ovod team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the developers, the robot can operate autonomously up to 20 km from the operator, with FPV drone launches possible up to 35 km from the system&#8217;s deployment point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dovod is built on the technology of the Kuryer robotic platform. The system is currently remotely operated by a human, with plans to integrate artificial intelligence elements in the future to enhance its level of autonomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Avatar 001 unmanned catamaran vessel<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Russians have launched a full development cycle for the Avatar 001 uncrewed surface vessel (USV). The vessel can operate in two modes: manual control via a remote transmitter at ranges up to 30 km, or autonomously along a pre-programmed route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The stated maximum speed is up to 15 km\/h, with an operational endurance of up to 8 hours depending on payload and movement profile. Depending on the modification, payload capacity ranges between 100 kg and 500 kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vyverna-Kogot interceptor drone<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Valkyrie Design Bureau has announced the development of the Vyverna-Kogot interceptor drone. According to the developers, the aircraft achieves speeds of up to 300 km\/h and features a neural-network-based automated target acquisition system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The drone has been presented in two modifications: a kinetic variant designed to destroy targets via ramming, and an attack variant equipped with a 0.5 kg high-explosive fragmentation warhead. The interceptor&#8217;s operational ceiling is up to 3 km. It is also claimed that the Kh-35 is capable of exchanging data with other missiles in a salvo, automatically assigning targets, and executing simultaneous attacks from multiple directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bal coastal defence system, equipped with Kh-35 missiles, has been in Russian service since 2008. In April 2022, the Russian Ministry of Defence officially reported its first combat employment for strikes against land targets in Ukraine. Subsequently, Russian sources have repeatedly claimed that the system can be deployed against both land-based and naval targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Volna Kupol Garant capable of overloading satellite receiver antennas<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2026\/06\/black-mirror-64\/\">Volna Kupol Garant<\/a> electronic suppression system is capable of temporarily disrupting Starlink satellite operations, according to Dmitry Kuzyakin, Chief Designer at the Center for Unmanned System Solutions (CBRS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He stated that the system utilises a narrow-beam, high-frequency radio signal to overload a satellite&#8217;s receiver antennas. As a result, the satellite temporarily ceases receiving signals from ground terminals within the system&#8217;s operational area. These aircraft were previously deployed as false targets to identify and distract air defence assets, after which their usage declined substantially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A portion of the Parodiya decoy roles was subsequently assumed by Gerbera drones, which were initially utilised as decoys before receiving an auxiliary fuel tank and a warhead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nabat-3 UAV detector gains video signal interception feature<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The GoDrone company has announced a modernised version of its Nabat-3 drone detector. According to the manufacturer, the device&#8217;s operational frequency spectrum has been expanded to 200\u20138,800 MHz, with a claimed target detection range of up to 2 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The principal new capability is real-time video signal reception from drones and uncrewed surface vessels.
