Ukrainian defence tech startup Swarmer is developing an AI system called Styx that manages a network of reconnaissance and attack drones. With a \u20b42 mln (approx. $48K) grant from Brave1, the developers plan to scale their technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the grant, the startup received support from Brave1<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNot only do they provide us with state-of-the-art testing facilities for our system, but they also connect us with leading industry experts, investors, joint project opportunities and suppliers both in Ukraine and abroad\u201d, said Serhiy Kuprienko, CEO of Swarmer, in a comment for AIN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the CEO, the cluster\u2019s support makes it possible to participate in defence technology events, including this year\u2019s conferences in Warsaw and Krakow, the Danish-Ukrainian Defence Seminar, the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) event, as well as future events such as the International Defence Technology Investment Summit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The startup\u2019s<\/a> team emphasises that the networking associated with Brave1 will allow Swarmer to establish contacts with global investors, UAV manufacturers and end users, facilitating further innovation and strategic partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swarmer was founded in 2023 by Sergii Kuprienko and Alex Fink. Last year in November, the startup attracted investment from the D3 fund and accelerator. Although the details were not disclosed, it is known that the standard D3 accelerator cheque is $125K.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
