Ukrainian defence tech company Bravo Dynamics has unveiled a new version of its Phantom 3.0 mesh communication system, developed specifically for unmanned ground vehicles<\/a> (UGV). Unlike conventional solutions that rely on airborne repeaters, which are more easily detected, Phantom operates through a mesh network of terrestrial nodes to exchange data with unmanned platforms, according to Defense Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike many existing solutions originally designed for UAVs, Phantom was conceived specifically for ground platforms and tailored to meet the unique requirements of UGVs. The 3.0 version supports up to five nodes per group and is designed to withstand electronic warfare and natural interference. It also features adaptive frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS), modular architecture, and simplified integration. The system offers a maximum data transmission range of up to 80 km and supports frequencies from 150 MHz to 1.6 GHz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initial iterations of Phantom emerged in the summer of 2024, with first sales totalling $25,000 recorded in the autumn. Bravo Dynamics currently holds a contract with Dwarf Engineering<\/a> and has signed letters of intent with CB Vepryk and Roboneers.
