The modular Kestrel interceptor drone, developed by OneDefence, has been listed on the Brave1<\/a> Market. The interceptor is designed to destroy UAVs, including Shahed-type strike drones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kestrel can reach a top speed of 420 km\/h and a cruising speed of 250 km\/h. It has a tactical operating radius of up to 20 km, an endurance of up to 10 minutes, and a maximum operating altitude of 6,800 metres. As Defender Media has learned from the developer, the interceptor has already completed field trials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interceptor is built on a modular architecture, allowing the battery pack, wings, camera, and warhead module to be configured immediately before deployment. It is equipped with an analogue video transmission system, day and thermal imaging cameras, and a terminal guidance system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the developer, during the terminal phase of flight, the seeker locks onto the target, after which the system automatically initiates detonation using a laser proximity sensor. The developers state this allows aerial targets to be destroyed without direct impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another feature of the Kestrel is its additional control surfaces, which operate synchronously with the motors. This design provides high manoeuvrability during sharp turns and stability at high speeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Brave1 Market, the interceptor is priced at UAH 95,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
