Ukrainian company Ground Systems has successfully completed trials of the VATAG multifunctional unmanned ground vehicle<\/a> in its 8\u00d78 configuration. During the tests, the platform reached speeds of up to 42 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The heavy UGV can carry more than 2 tonnes of payload. The platform is designed to perform a wide range of tasks, from providing logistical support to military units to direct participation in combat operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Defender Media learned from the manufacturer, the project has evolved significantly since the platform was first unveiled in autumn 2025 and has received several technical upgrades. The improvements include the control systems, communications equipment, modular architecture, and increased platform autonomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
