Poland’s PZL Defence and the Ukrainian state enterprise Ivchenko-Progress have signed a memorandum of understanding<\/a> on the development, production, and commercialisation of small turbojet engines and other advanced technologies for the aerospace and defence sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The memorandum was signed<\/a> on 25 June 2026 during the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 in Gda\u0144sk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement combines the expertise of the Ukrainian aircraft engine developer with the Polish company’s industrial and market capabilities. The parties also declared their intention to cooperate in training specialists for the aerospace industry in partnership with universities and other higher education institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the companies, demand for small turbojet engines is surging as the market for military and civilian unmanned aerial systems continues to expand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukraine’s Ivchenko-Progress is a renowned aircraft engine developer, with a portfolio that includes powerplants for the An-225 Mriya and An-124 Ruslan transport aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PZL Defence is part of the Unimot Group. Its industrial base relies on the facilities of PZL S\u0119dzisz\u00f3w, a company with over 85 years of experience in the aerospace and defence industries. The company manufactures civilian unmanned aerial vehicles and is currently undergoing the licensing process required to enter the market for military unmanned systems and critical infrastructure protection solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
