An op-ed by Anatolii Khrapchynskyi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Upgraded Fire Point drones can strike targets 3,000 km away, says Zelensky<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 20 June, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukrainian long-range drones are now capable of reaching oil refineries in Russia\u2019s Tyumen region, more than 2,000 kilometres from Ukraine\u2019s border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe tested new upgraded FP drones. They can now reach targets at a distance of 3,000 kilometres,\u201d Zelensky said, thanking Fire Point\u2019s engineers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier, Ukrainian outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/oboronka.mezha.ua\/fire-point-rozpovila-onovleni-bezpilotniki-fp-1-2-312423\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Oboronka<\/a> reported on the upgraded <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/fire-point\/\">Fire Point<\/a> drones from the Eurosatory 2026 defence exhibition in Paris, where the company unveiled new versions of its FP-1 and FP-2 UAVs featuring extended range and integrated artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The FP-2 received a new single-wing design with an integrated fuel tank, allowing it to carry a 200 kg warhead. With this payload, the drone has a range of 370 km.
