The government has backed new rules for managing intellectual property within the Defence Forces, the Ministry of Defence<\/a> reports. From now on, state defence developments can be transferred to serial production through a transparent licensing system. Previously, manufacturers could gain access to the Ministry of Defence’s technologies; now the market has opened up to other components of the Defence Forces as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At least 25% of the funds from paid licences will go to the service members who developed them. The remaining funds will go towards R&D, innovation development, legal protection of technologies and support for the units that create these solutions. Part of the money will go towards measures to develop defence technologies in Ukraine and their legal protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ministry<\/a> adds that the new licensing procedure also provides additional incentives for defence enterprises. They can invest both in production and in the long-term development of technology obtained from the state. For exclusive licences, a competitive selection will be conducted, while equal conditions will be established for obtaining non-exclusive ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new rules are intended to ensure the full commercialisation of state defence developments, as well as to accelerate R&D cycles in the military and the private sector.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
