{"id":31772,"date":"2026-06-12T13:02:03","date_gmt":"2026-06-12T10:02:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/?p=31772"},"modified":"2026-06-16T16:30:49","modified_gmt":"2026-06-16T13:30:49","slug":"skyfall-airbus-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2026\/06\/skyfall-airbus-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukrainian SkyFall announces strategic partnership with Airbus"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ukrainian company <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/skyfall\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/skyfall\/\">SkyFall<\/a> and European Airbus Defence and Space have signed a memorandum establishing a strategic partnership, representatives of the Ukrainian manufacturer shared with Defender Media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The agreement was signed during the ILA Berlin Air Show in the presence of German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to SkyFall, one of the key areas of cooperation will be the integration of its <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/p1-sun\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/p1-sun\/\">P1-SUN<\/a> interceptor drones with Airbus&#8217; Air C2 airspace management system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company noted that P1-SUN interceptors have already destroyed around 10,000 Russian drones of various types, demonstrating the technology&#8217;s effectiveness against aerial threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;This became the foundation for our partnership with Airbus, under which we are working to create a next-generation layered air defence system,&#8221; SkyFall said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Michael Schoellhorn, CEO of Airbus Defence and Space, stated that countering emerging threats in European airspace \u2014 including mass drone attacks and other strike systems \u2014 requires technological agility, cross-border cooperation, and combat-proven solutions. According to him, the alliance with SkyFall is intended to bridge the gap between traditional defence systems and rapidly developed innovations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Airbus brings systems expertise and extensive experience in command-and-control solutions, particularly in Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD). Photo provided by SkyFall<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Overall, the partnership between SkyFall and Airbus aims to strengthen the protection of Ukraine&#8217;s airspace against drone and missile attacks while reinforcing Ukraine&#8217;s role as a leading European hub for defence innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative will also contribute to the development of the European defence ecosystem by combining Western systems expertise with combat-tested Ukrainian technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Company officials noted that Airbus Defence and Space is part of Airbus SE, a global corporation operating across the aerospace, defence and telecommunications sectors. Airbus currently has a market capitalisation of more than $143 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 10 June, during the ILA Berlin Air Show, Ukrainian Armoured Vehicles also <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2026\/06\/ukrarmor-mbda-memorandum\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2026\/06\/ukrarmor-mbda-memorandum\/\">signed a similar
