According to the developers, the platform is intended to serve as the core architecture for the prospective &#8220;FREYJA&#8221; anti-missile interceptor system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video alignleft\"><video height=\"1280\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 720 \/ 1280;\" width=\"720\" controls src=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/img_2862.mp4\"><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">FP-7.X missile test. Video: Fire Point<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the company\u2019s Chief Technical Officer, Iryna Terekh, the flight evaluation was conducted recently. She characterised the missile&#8217;s flight profile as highly manoeuvrable and fully controlled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fire Point noted that the FP-7.X is undergoing rigorous testing as an integral part of the ongoing development of the next-generation interceptor system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on its designation, the surface-to-air missile appears to be derived from the FP-7 short-range ballistic missile <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2025\/09\/fire-point-new-missiles\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2025\/09\/fire-point-new-missiles\/\">announced by Fire Point in 2025<\/a>. Previously released footage showed the launch of an FP-7 from a wheeled platform. The ballistic missile will feature a semi-active homing head and is engineered to achieve velocities ranging between 1,500 and 2,000 m\/s.
