{"id":3046,"date":"2025-05-01T14:25:26","date_gmt":"2025-05-01T11:25:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/?p=3046"},"modified":"2025-12-07T17:48:53","modified_gmt":"2025-12-07T15:48:53","slug":"3dtech-new-fibre-optic-coil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2025\/05\/3dtech-new-fibre-optic-coil\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukrainian 3D Tech has started mass production of 30 km fibre-optic coils"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ukrainian company 3D Tech, which specialises in manufacturing FPV drones of various types, has announced the start of mass production of fibre-optic coils for 25 and 30 km, Defence Express <a href=\"https:\/\/defence-ua.com\/news\/nove_serijne_optovolokno_dlja_fpv_droniv_na_30_km_gotujetsja_potrapiti_do_vijska-18699.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reports<\/a>. The coils have already passed internal testing and are now being mass produced. Tests for codification and approval for use by the Armed Forces of Ukraine are scheduled for May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to 3D Tech CEO Oleksii Zhulynskyi, production and winding of the coils are fully localised in Ukraine, with only the raw materials being imported. Local winding enables full quality control at every stage of production and reduces the risk of breakage during use \u2014 unlike Chinese coils, which may contain factory defects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-text-align-left wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2025\/04\/fibre-opric-drones-in-the-sky\/\"><strong>Read more:<\/strong> How fibre-optic drones change the battle field<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, 3D Tech reported that all five variants of its fibre-optic FPV drones under the \u201cPredator REBOFF\u201d line (with ranges of 10\u201320 km on 10- to 13-inch frames) successfully passed codification testing in January. These drones have now officially received their own codes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3D Tech is a Ukrainian drone manufacturer with a production capacity of over 1,000 units per month. The company produces FPV drones from the Predator series with both fibre-optic and radio control, as well as reels and ground control stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a reminder, the Brave1 state cluster has conducted several tests of fibre-optic drones \u2014 both aerial and ground-based robotic systems. Most drones manufactured in Ukraine currently have a range of up to 20 km, while <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2025\/04\/black-mirror-2\/\">Russian forces have reported using fibre-optic
