European defence technology firm Intelic has announced the inauguration of Intelic BASE, a defence procurement hub<\/a>. The platform helps quickly identify and acquire unmanned solutions, shortening procurement cycles and speeding up the deployment of critical systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At launch, Intelic BASE aggregates drone and unmanned systems manufacturers from ten European nations \u2014 France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Portugal, Latvia, Luxembourg, Lithuania, and Czechia. The platform provides government entities with direct access to data on interoperable solutions available within the European defence industrial base (EDIB). The initiative is being developed in collaboration with several European ministries of defence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Companies already integrated into the platform include Acecore Technologies, Airvolute, Avy, Beyond Vision, DeltaQuad, Height Technologies, Highcat, and the Ukrainian company TAF Industries.<\/a> Several additional Ukrainian partners whose identities remain undisclosed are also confirmed to have joined the consortium. Collectively, these manufacturers produce over 100,000 UAVs per month \u2014 spanning ISR, strike, and counter-drone systems \u2014 with aggregate sales exceeding $1.5 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Defender Media reached out to TAF Industries for comment regarding its participation in Intelic BASE, but had not received a response at the time of publication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conceptually, Intelic BASE mirrors Ukraine\u2019s Brave1 Market \u2014 a digital marketplace where manufacturers list their products alongside technical specifications and pricing. This enables defence agencies to evaluate available solutions and select platforms that best align with their operational requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A cornerstone of the platform is its integration with Nexus software \u2014 a unified command-and-control (C2) layer that allows unmanned systems from disparate manufacturers to operate seamlessly within a joint mission environment. The company states that Nexus has been operational in Ukraine since 2025, ensuring interoperability between coalition drone fleets across different categories and manufacturers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In contrast to traditional procurement models, where governments must assess suppliers individually and address interoperability post-acquisition, Intelic BASE allows ministries to engage with systems already optimised for coalition deployment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
