{"id":29081,"date":"2026-05-06T11:10:49","date_gmt":"2026-05-06T08:10:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/?p=29081"},"modified":"2026-05-07T13:10:42","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T10:10:42","slug":"farsight-vision-new-neural-net","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/2026\/05\/farsight-vision-new-neural-net\/","title":{"rendered":"Farsight Vision\u2019s neural model now can detect wheel tracks, EW antennas, narrow trails and other small objects"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ukrainian-Estonian company <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/en\/tags\/farsight-vision\/\">Farsight Vision<\/a> has launched an updated neural model for detecting objects and changes in imagery, the project team told Defender Media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the developers, the new version significantly expands analytical capabilities, enabling the identification not only of vehicles and medium-sized objects, but also of small and low-visibility terrain features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The small-object detection feature is already available on the FSV Platform. Access to the object recognition system is free for Ukraine\u2019s Defence Forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>FSV Platform is Farsight Vision\u2019s core software product. Using AI-powered tools, it transforms reconnaissance drone imagery and video into orthomosaic maps and 3D models linked to tactical maps. This allows military units to plan assault operations, FPV drone flight paths and vehicle routes, while improving commanders\u2019 situational awareness.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company says the previous neural model focused primarily on detecting various types of military equipment and medium-scale objects. The updated model delivers substantially higher precision and detail, opening new use cases for reconnaissance and change analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The system can now detect more than 30 classes of objects, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wheel tracks;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Narrow trails and low-visibility routes;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wires, antennas, poles and infrastructure elements;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>EW antennas;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Camouflaged objects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"605\" src=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/yzs1dzfdqoibcyblxgb8-1024x605.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29074\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thedefender.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/yzs1dzfdqoibcyblxgb8-1024x605.webp 1024w, https:\/\/thedefender.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/yzs1dzfdqoibcyblxgb8-300x177.webp 300w, https:\/\/thedefender.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/yzs1dzfdqoibcyblxgb8-768x454.webp 768w, https:\/\/thedefender.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/yzs1dzfdqoibcyblxgb8.webp 1197w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">FSV Platform screenshot<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The update also expands the range of supported data types. Detection on orthophoto imagery is already available, while from May 15, 2026, users will also be able to perform detection directly on standard photographs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are focused on reducing the time between receiving data and making decisions,\u201d said Farsight Vision CEO Viktoriia Yaremchuk. \u201cThe new model makes it possible to detect changes that previously remained unnoticed and improves analytical accuracy in challenging conditions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Farsight Vision is currently opening applications for users interested in testing the updated model.
